A short description of what we do, plus contact info if you're writing about us or the broader black-box problem.
One-line description
Veriti is a royalty tracker that finds missing and misregistered compositions for songwriters, recording artists, producers, and composers.
Short paragraph
Veriti pulls per-work royalty data from PROs, distributors, and the global ISWC database into one dashboard. The product identifies compositions that exist in one source but are missing or misregistered in another — the "black box" that holds an estimated $2.5 billion of unmatched music royalties globally. It is built by Veriti Music Technologies AS, headquartered in Norway.
Background on the problem
Music royalties flow through two parallel systems: the master side (the recording, paid by streamers and broadcasters to distributors) and the publishing side (the composition, paid by PROs and mechanical agencies to songwriters and publishers). Reconciliation across the two is rare, manual, and incomplete. Compositions get registered incorrectly, splits get misreported, and credit gets attributed to the wrong party — each gap leaves money sitting in a CMO holding account for years before being distributed to a generic pool. CISAC publishes annual statistics on global collections vs distributions; the gap is significant and persistent.
